Pain in life is inevitable, but suffering is optional. Times of great challenge, however hard, present us with opportunities to discover who we are and grow closer to those who matter to us. As a wife and the mom of two grown sons, I bring to the therapy room a belief that we heal by strengthening our bonds with the people we love. The human heart wants to connect. When we let it, the turbulent times feel less rocky; we can live with greater peacefulness and ease.

I work with couples, individuals and families dealing with relationship conflict, recovery from affairs, parenting, work-family balance, the empty nest, sadness, anxiety and trauma resulting in PTSD. I incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Marital Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), effective, evidence-based models for working with couples and individuals.

My undergraduate work was completed at California State University, Northridge, and my Masters of Science in Human Development at Virginia Tech. I am a member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
